Meet Our Founder

Alexis Jarrell

LMFT #127247

I am a passionate and empathetic facilitator dedicated to deeply understanding my clients, illuminating patterns and assisting them in achieving their goals. With extensive experience across various therapeutic settings, including community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice, I have developed a diverse skill set to address a wide range of challenges.

My person-centered approach, guided by evidence-based interventions and an understanding of family dynamics, allows me to build strong rapport and facilitate meaningful change. I feel honored to accompany my clients on their journey of self-discovery and growth, and I look forward to connecting with you to explore your needs.

I work with Teens, Adults and Families. I specialize in Anxiety, Trauma, Depression, OCD, Eating Disorders, Family Conflict, Treatment Aftercare Coordination, Parent Coaching and School Refusal. I am a supervisor to Associate Therapists and coordinate all community outreach and events for Whole Human Wellness. I am passionate about mental health awareness and education and I enjoy public speaking in classrooms, community organizations and beyond. I am EMDR trained and graduated with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California.

Please note: I am not taking new patients at this time, but I am happy to learn about what you are looking for and match you with one of our other providers for therapy services!

I started Whole Human Wellness to be able to create a holistic team who can collaboratively work together to support the entire family system. It is a dream come true to work with such amazing clinicians and support so many clients and families.

We can’t wait to meet you!

My favorite part of the therapeutic process is…

My favorite part is being able to walk with my clients through their journey and illuminate all of their growth. I love getting to really know clients deeply and understanding their inner and outer world and assisting them in gaining the confidence and skills to create and maintain the life they want!

Clients describe me as…

Warm, Direct, Compassionate, Curious, Supportive and Empowering

Favorite way to spend a day off…

Coffee with a friend, a fun and upbeat Soulcycle class, a walk by the beach, cuddles/playtime with my dogs and a relaxing dinner with my family

To me, "healing" and “success in therapy” means...

Feeling like you know yourself more. Recognizing patterns in your life that serve you and patterns in your life that don't. Being kind to yourself and your experiences. Giving yourself and others grace and compassion. Advocating for your needs. Finding your safe people and holding them close. Feeling like even though life can be challenging, there are always moments of lightness and joy that can be found and treasured. Validating all of your experiences, even if others’ don’t.

I continue to grow as a therapist by…

Being in my own therapy, attending trainings, reading a lot, consulting with other professionals and asking my clients for feedback!

If I was not a therapist I would…

Open up an animal sanctuary and spend time rescuing and rehabilitating animals!!

My home already feels like a bit of an animal sanctuary, as I have a Bearded Dragon, 2 Pitties and recently added a Chihuahua that I rescued and rehabilitated!

Meet the Pack: (they often will pop up and say hello in virtual sessions!)
